Welcome to the forum! Are you able to say why your friend is confident about this? I know someone who's an operator, and even those guys aren't really in the loop and know when it's expected to open.

September 3 would be reasonable, given the new transit schedule. Tomorrow is the completion date announced last December, I wonder if there will be an update tomorrow.

First day of school for EPSB is September 1, it would have been nice to be open by then.

I’m certainly not the Councillor’s biggest fan but by picking this location and they way he mentions “like something you would see in cities like Vancouver” to me indicates that sort of grade separated station is the preference. This station, at least from what I have seen of construction tours by politicians and others, has been disproportionately featured over the smaller but much more plentiful community stop type stations.
Just a thought I had on the matter but certainly looking forward to the line opening hopefully for when school starts.

3rd of September is a Saturday and Monday is labour day long weekend which gives them three days to sort out any last minute issues.

Thanks for sharing this. It's nice to see Davies will open soon, but I wonder if it could even open before the Valley Line does.
