Surely they could go higher than 4 storeys? Even 6 would be a large improvement.
 
It seems like Vancouver is stuck at 4-storey mid-rises. So many recently-built and under construction projects are 4 storeys.
 
June 9th update: the one-storey commercial building has been demolished.
