I've noticed that if an image is added to a post the page expands to the width of that image. On the photos threads, I don't see a problem with having images that are over 1000px wide, however, on normal thread forums, when images go past about 800 or 900px, it makes it tough to read the posts as you end up side scrolling back and forth on a 1024x768 monitor.
Might I suggest we limit photo widths on regular threads to 800px to ensure that the posts can be read without difficulty? There are a multitude of free image editing tools that will do this (XP will do it natively). As a side benefit, it would aid in page loading as well.
