Eleven months since our last update, and progress at the site of DDG's 3550 South Ocean has been moving along nicely, the 7-storey, 30-residence mid-rise project now topped off and ready for cladding. Located along the waterfront of Miami's famed Palm Beach district, the oceanside development is the first of its kind in the area in more than a decade.

Viewed above and below, 3550 South Ocean will place residents practically on the beach, the warm spray of the southern Atlantic Ocean just steps away. DDG is overseeing the design team, which includes Garcia StrombergKobi Karp Architecture, and Champalimaud Design, 3550 South Ocean's signature saw-tooth configuration (below) to help ensure that every resident gets a a fantastic view of the ocean.

Ranging from 2,700 to 3,000 square feet, each of the 30 residences will have its own private elevator access and balconies, while the five uppermost penthouse suites will each be outfitted with a private rooftop terrace.

Residents will be provided with a range of amenities, including private beach access, a beachfront saltwater pool, terrace, and fitness studio. Set for completion by late 2018, it will only be a matter of months before buyers begin to embrace the Palm Beach lifestyle.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
