Eighteen months since our last update, and Stantec's 50-storey, 438-unit Solitair Brickell has now reached completion in Miami. Located in the heart of the city's bustling Brickell District, close to downtown, the ocean, and nestled between two rapid transit stations, the development will soon welcome home upwards of 700 new residents.

Developed by ZOM Living, the palm tree inspired, razor-tooth patterned, residential tower rises high above a multi-storey podium base, the bottom of which has been outfitted with a continuous row of ground-level retail. The second of two rooftop decks, the 50th floor terrace will also include a wetbar, billiards room, and lounge.

Solitair Brickell is situated along 8th Street, thereby placing the development in the heart of the action, close to the shops, restaurants, and bars that populate the area. Part of an ongoing local trend towards high-density development, Solitair Brickell joins a host of similar projects either under construction or recently completed in the immediate vicinity.

Now complete, Solitair Brickell will make a fine addition to downtown Miami, its central location, unique design, and long list of amenities sure to make this a popular urban destination for years to come.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
