A month since our last update, and progress at CMC Group's 63-storey, Brickell Flatiron in Miami has moved ahead significantly. In particular, ample progress has been made upon the decorative metallic mesh that covers the multi-storey, podium-level of the tower which will be used for above ground parking.

More than a dozen storeys high, the parking podium dominates the base of the tower, its street presence made all the more potent owing to its striking use of metallic cladding. The podium is softened only at ground level with the inclusion of a glass-fronted lobby and entryway, which opens out onto the street.

The Revuelta Architecture-designed Brickell Flatiron will soon become Miami's tallest tower at 224 metres, its signature, curved silhouette already a standout feature of the downtown skyline. Home to more than 700 people spread across 549 units, Brickell Flatiron will be a popular address for those looking to live in the heart of the city.

Close to transit, the downtown core, and the beach, Brickell Flatiron will make for a fine addition to Florida's southern coast.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
