Two months since our last update, and progress at the all but complete Renelle on the River has been slow but steady as the final touches get underway. Landscaping and the last of the cladding are now all that remain, the 18-storey, bKL Architecture-designed, residential project by Belgravia Group soon to open its doors.

Built atop the parking garage for the adjacent Trump International Hotel and Tower, the comparatively diminutive Renelle on the River has been tucked into a small, but workable space. Located just north of the Chicago River in the city's bustling River North district, close to transit (Grand/State station), and the Downtown Loop, Renelle on the River will place residents within easy walking distance to much of the central city.

Moving in for a closer look, the above image reveals the degree to which the structure is now complete. Crews are busy applying the final touches upon the landscaping, it to not be long now before the site is fully integrated into the fabric of the local streetscape.

Inspired by the word "runnel," meaning a delicate stream, or brook, Renelle on the River is seeking to capitalize upon its proximity to the Chicago River, the feature being one of the city's most iconic. Once complete, the 50-unit luxury tower will be a fine addition to the core, with suites to sell from anywhere between $1.35-$2.34 million.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
