With an average annual growth of 11,000 people over the last decade, Nashville is booming. While downtown has become the epicentre for mixed-use developments, other areas of Music City are experiencing a similar urban renewal thanks to the city's decision to allow residential, commercial, and entertainment uses within the same project. Similar to the formerly industrial area know as the Gulch, Midtown — and more precisely the Music Row — is seeing several hundred new residents moving in to brand new apartment and condominium buildings.

Developed by Novare Group, Skyhouse Nashville is a 25-storey residential tower currently under construction at the intersection of 17th Avenue South and Broadway. The building will include 352 units, with a mix of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments that cater to young professionals and families. The street level will be partially animated by 930 square metres of retail space facing the intersection, replacing a sandwich shop that was demolished to make way for the new structure.

Extensive amenities will be available to residents. What will become the city's tallest rooftop terrace will include a saltwater pool, an outdoor fireplace, a kitchen, and a BBQ area. The last level will also feature an indoor catering space fully equipped with a kitchen, a fire place, and a billiard table. A fitness centre and studio will complete the series of rooftop amenities, while Wi-Fi will be accessible throughout all the common areas of the building, such as the lobby with concierge and the pet wash station.

Once complete in early 2017, Skyhouse Nashville will become Midtown's tallest building at 88 metres above ground. In the meantime, additional images and information about the project can be found in the Database file linked below.
