In the nine months since our last update, a significant amount of progress has been made at the site of The Benvenuto Group's 34-storey Le Peterson. The NEUF architect(e)s'-designed condo tower is now nearly sealed in the quickly evolving Quartiers des Spectacles

Unique within the city for the bold implementation of the tower's iconic wavy floor plates and balconies, Le Peterson's signature design is part of a larger trend towards more daring architectural moves being made within Montreal. Seen in the image below from June, with cladding climbing up towards the tower's large three-storey amenity space, the full effect of the tower's curvy floor plates can be appreciated.

Future home of a three-storey terrace, the 28th floor will also contain the tower's amenity spaces, providing residents with great views of downtown Montreal. Complete with the curious addition of a massive, multi-faceted climbing wall, the otherwise swanky terrace and lounge will likely become Le Peterson's signature feature beyond the tower's unique overall look.

Once complete, Le Peterson will add 253 units to the area, the tower's addition to the Quartiers des Spectacles part and parcel of downtown Montreal's ongoing shift towards high-density development.

SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation below.
