In the nine months since our last update, progress at the site of Phase One of the two-tower Drummond Condominiums in downtown Montreal has been moving along well, with construction crews now working at grade. Recent photos on our Forum reveal the rate of progress to date, with images from late October and early November showing the site as it appears today.
Designed by IBI Group and Martin Marcotte Beinhaker Architects for Samcon, Drummond Condominiums will be built in two stages, starting with the slightly taller 24-storey Phase One, and ending with the somewhat shorter 22-storey Phase Two. Altogether, the two-tower residential development will contain 401 units, along with an impressive array of amenities, including a gym, lounge, rooftop terrace, and pool.
Located in the heart of downtown, the new development will place residents within easy walking distance of transit, along with a host of nearby restaurants and entertainment options, including the nearby Bell Centre. Soon to be joined by a collection of similar developments, the Drummond Condominiums are part of an ongoing downtown renaissance which has been moving along at a breakneck pace over the last few years.
SkyriseCities will be sure to return to this project as progress continues. For more information, check out the associated Database file and Forum thread, and as always, feel free to join the conversation in the comments section below.
