It’s nice to have the TRUMP name out of the skyline but it’s still a Trump Hotel at street level.

Presumably. But the hotel won't immediately become a St. Regis. I am guessing there will be no signage up there during the interim "Adelaide Hotel" period.

I have no inside knowledge, but note that only one of the other 5-star hotels in Toronto (Shangri-la) has its name or logo atop the buildings (Four Seasons, Hazelton, and Ritz, do not).

The few St. Regis properties I can think of off the top of my head don't, either, but maybe the history with this property here provides a unique branding opportunity they don't want to pass up (a whole bunch of people taking pics of the new logo when it's up and offering before/afters of the awful old brand and the new one).
