A bit of a hot take but I think St. Albert (at least initially) would be better served by a heavy rail connection. With the UCP coming up with a commuter rail plan I think that would be something to consider as a possibility.
Naaa, St.Albert is way too close to have a different type of train. Commuter lines would best serve Ft.Sask, Spruce Grove, Stoney Plain, Devon. St.Albert and Sherwood Park should be within the LRT network.

Back to low floor valley line, I say extension to Meadows on the south side, branch at Whyte as proposed, branch at 124st to westmount/science centre, branch near Bonnie Doon to Capilano.

I agree, first of all because I don't think LRT to St. Albert is going to happen quickly and second because there are also other growing areas north of St. Albert such as Morinville which commuter rail would make sense for.

If you don’t think LRT to St. Albert will happen any time soon heavy commuter rail to Morinville is next century.

Lots of good stuff in the year end update. First LRV has been manufactured

My thinking is that Marigold will be moving with track and station construction between Groat Bridge and 142 Street (with the enclosures) in early 2025.

Does the CoE want to spend money on transit to places like St. Albert and Morinville so people can work in Edmonton and pay property taxes in satellite communities?

The Edmonton Transit Service Advisory Board has finally updated its website (it hasn't been consistent recently) and posted the ETS November branch highlight report.
Valley Line Southeast LRT ridership continues to grow month over month since the opening of the 13-kilometre LRT line in November 2023. Monthly ridership on the Valley Line Southeast LRT grew from approximately 138,000 in November 2023 (excluding opening day) to nearly 297,000 in November 2024. The LRT line currently represents 5% of total bus and LRT ridership in Edmonton.

edit: Corrected to November report

I emailed with the chair about the inconsistent reporting/minutes/agenda online and she told me the person who did it so consistently a year ago left and they've struggled to keep their pages up to date since then.

Thanks for reaching out to them, it's been bugging me for some long now. Did they send you copies of the missing documents?
