From https://www.toronto.ca/community-people/get-involved/public-consultations/infrastructure-projects/centennial-cycling-connections/

July 2025 Update: Starting the week of August 4 (weather permitting), the City of Toronto will install a new bikeway to provide a safer connection along Mill Road from Burnhamthorpe Road to Centennial Park Boulevard/Rathburn Road, as part of the Centennial Park Cycling Connections Project. View the Installation Notice

The project area is divided into two segments with different changes planned on each segment:
  1. Burnhamthorpe Road from the Mississauga Border to Mill Road. A multi-use trail is planned to be installed on the north side of this segment. There are no impacts to the roadway.
  2. Mill Road from Burnhamthorpe Road to Rathburn Road. A bi-directional cycle track is planned to be installed on the east side of this segment. The number of vehicle lanes will be maintained.

Still think there should be a pedestrian and cycling bridge on Rathburn Road between Mississauga and Toronto over the Etobicoke Creek.

Cycling is a low priority. Single-occupant SUVs get the highest priority in the City of Toronto.

Walter. You keep making these kinds of comments and seem to forget that road projects for cars or transit projects for everyone are also delayed and too slow to finish. If you have actual evidence that the City (as opposed to individual councillors or general NIMBYs) gives priority to single occupancy SUVs, post it.

He derails every thread he posts on. So annoying.

And grading is underway on the don mills-gateway trail
WRT the bike trail along Don Mills, South of Gateway to the bridge over the rail tracks: I'm really glad they are doing this without interfering with the path from TE Seton park to Taylor Creek park. I run/ride it southbound a couple of times per week

The short piece of separated bike track just west of Market Street has been done for several weeks, they have not yet removed the parking and painted the lines and/or put up the mini-Jerseys further west to Yonge - they got the necessary parking changes through Council a few weeks ago and say all will be done by end of August. It has taken FAR too long but ....

People can be 'ignored' and that solves, or at least reduces, the problem, I recommend it.
It's true though then you are faced with a bevvy of comments and replies to mysterious greyed out content by a user I have "ignored." It can be more frustrating than just browsing past it.
