Calgary's first Shell station 37th street, Richmond Road. Still a Shell station today.

Going through my grandparent's old slides, we came across this skyline shot. Taken in 1950, from what is about the current Rosedale offleash dog park. You can see the sunnyside school central in the photo.

Everyone is see pics if the old train station I always feel sad. What a cool place that would’ve made for a market.
Thankfully, it was at least replaced by the Calgary Tower, and not some boring box of an office building, but still.

Are there any interior pictures kicking around from this era of the train station? The exterior the building, while serving my favourite function (train station), doesn't look too special.

Not sure, but judging by the cars, I would say the 1920's

I rarely ever see interior pics. The exterior isn't as nice as many of the older train stations in other cities, but I think in today's context t it would be one of the coolest buildings in the city if it was still around.
