Looks fine in pictures but it's cold and not that welcoming. Not really a place to comfortably sit and relax at. Central field area will probably be used for ice sculptures which would look good with the lights on it. Do something like Lake Louise does in winter. Will visit it once to see it and that will be it.

I'll be like one of the McKenzie brothers sitting on the Ice District bench when people take their pet dog to the park. We'll find out how popular the park is going to be but I have a feeling that it's trying to do too many different things without having a central theme or doing any one thing real well. A department store of parks. Maybe it turns out to be iconic park that everybody wants to go to but I have some doubts. It looks fine to me but is it all show?

Is all that wooden fencing permanent? Seems to limit the space that can be utilized at the park.

No, it's just to protect landscape elements until they get a solid foothold. The fences will eventually be removed' they are only temporary. The metal railing on the left of the photo is permanent -- it bounds the dog park.

And in 2026 they may replace some of that temp fencing with permanent, lower to the ground decorative fencing - at least that is what the rendors/video show.

This part looks good. A grid pattern has more distinction and prestige and never goes out of style. Not sure what that light and the fire pits will look like in 30, 40, 50 years.
