Geez, that's crazy. I mean it looks like it fits right in with the rest of the street. I wonder if the new blanket zoning is the only reason it got off the ground?

My thoughts exactly. It looks no bigger or higher than a semi-detached that is all over the inner-city. They even had the 3rd floor only be in the centre so from the side it's no taller than a 2 storey build.

Wow. I get that people have the right to be concerned about developments around them surroundings, but stuff like this is beyond ridiculous.

Infill at 21st Ave and 20st NW

I was passing through Mount Pleasant this morning, I can’t believe how many infills are going in everywhere. I took a few photos, but this is only a fraction of the infills that are going in. These photos are from only a two square block area!

I see they went with landscaping of grey rocks with random big grey rocks. That's a choice

I don't live too far from that area. I was thinking of doing a bike ride around the area capturing all the new infill projects, but there are so many, it would take all day. Without exaggerating, I would say there is one of these projects either u/c or recently finished on almost every block in Mount Pleasant. Same for Capitol hill.

Agreed. While it may be a climate change friendly/drought resistant choice, it certainly isn’t attractive. There’s no soft landscaping to minimize the harsh appearance.
