Lots around Omega are owned by long-time/well known folks who I would hope we would see want to 'city build' and develop it themselves.

Hearing Hillside Estates (Tower North and South) condo board has voted to sell the building to a company that intends to renovate into rentals. Apparently they have been courted for about 2 years, and things are not good financially with the whole parkade renovation debacle.

I went there once and am not surprised and frankly the location is also not so great. A number of nearby places on or more visible from Jasper Ave seem to do better.

Company basically said "sell to us now for xx, or don't and you'll get even less later if we get enough unit factors to buy the building". The sale is still waiting for court approval. Company behind this is run by a local land realtor
