Costco is staying woke unlike many corporations (*cough cough Target*), and is suing the Trump administration demanding a refund of tariffs....

Costco Wholesale has sued the Trump administration, asking the Court of International Trade to consider all tariffs collected under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act unlawful.

The company said in a filing Friday that it is seeking a “full refund” of all duties under the act paid as a result of President Donald Trump's executive order that imposed what he called "reciprocal" tariffs.

“Because IEEPA does not clearly authorize the President to set tariffs ... the Challenged Tariff Orders cannot stand and the defendants are not authorized to implement and collect them,” Costco's lawyer writes in the lawsuit.

It seems summary execution on the high seas is the new norm:

Second Strike to Kill Survivors

Hegseth in a social media post Friday continued to defend the strikes on alleged drug boats, writing, “Our current operations in the Caribbean are lawful under both U.S. and international law, with all actions in compliance with the law of armed conflict—and approved by the best military and civilian lawyers, up and down the chain of command.”

"Best military lawyers" = the toadies remaining after they turfed much of their JAG corps.

BTW, the Law of Armed Conflict references state-representing combatants.

So.. are we just going to assume that at some point in the next 12 months the US will invade Central America?

I wonder though.. if Trump attempts to pull a Gulf of Tonkin style incident will Congress, The Senate and Supreme Court stand idly by? While the GOP is drinking the orange Kool-Aid I cannot see them allowing Trump to drag them into another Vietnam.

Inside Trump’s Push to Make the White House Ballroom as Big as Possible
What will future Administrations do with this 90,000 sq ft monstrosity?

Assuming the Republicans win in 2028 and 2032, MAGA may want to make it a tomb to Trump, like the 129,000 sq ft Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum below.

If the Democrats win in 2028, what do they do? One can't really just demolish it without claims of waste and partisanship.

this is assuming that the monstrosity actually gets built, and doesn't just remain a rubbish heap for months to come

Hegsbreath is now claiming he "wasn't in the room" when the second strike was made on survivors...

Meanwhile, an observation on FBI Directors' attire over the years...

He needs an out on record for when there's a Congressional (or Hague) inquest on war crimes. I wonder what the pilots think when ordered to hit wounded men in the water.
