So are these recent issues on line 5 centered around the at-grade portion of the line, or is it impacting the underground portion as well?
 
Well, ok, it has been raining heavily…. But in a newly opened station, this isn’t encouraging.

It's actually not the rain that's the issue there, it's the humidity. And it's a problem at many of the underground stations.

It doesn't help that the tiles get fatally slick with the moisture, either. That ramp in down that hallway is downright dangerous.

Hmm ... what's the difference that causes this in these new stations compared to the un-airconditioned Line 1/2/4 stations?
 
Give them a few decades and some stalagmites and stalactites may form in the passageways and stations. (If there is some limestone above them.)

Some of them had the same issue as well. Recently, it was because the air got warm really quickly, but the ground was still cold. It also happens a lot in the summer t the Union Station streetcar loop, as it's essentially in a cave below the lake level
 
Fairbank station today. How does an area 2-3 meters in the air get so dirty?

At this rate, give all the stations 2-3 Years and they will end up looking like the platform level of Lawrence West, but even worse.

I've noticed the same at virtually all of the underground stations, this is actually embarrassingly bad.
