So unfair not to be able to drink and drug, threaten people with death and deportation while in public office. What is this world coming to?

“She spends three quarters of her time chasing (Rob Ford) & I around" Doug Ford on the integrity commish.

DF Sr. park

IIRC correctly, I posted this link to the City's policy that covers naming and renaming parks back when SUV first posted a suggestion on changing the name of Doug Sr. park: http://atabase.org/Corp honourific-policy.pdf. Anyone working up a cover letter for a petition (or two to three...) should take a look at it.

What I have not been able to find on-line is the declaration or council resolution or whatever from when the Doug Ford Jr. name was adopted. That might say what the supposed reasons were - which might be useful in plumping for a change (e.g., if it could be argued that some of the supposed reasons have been discredited by more recent events involving his progeny).

"Start a petition to rename "Douglas Ford Park" in Etobicoke to "Anthony Smith Park." Who's with me?"

Why bother with a petition? City government is dysfunctional, participatory democracy is broken. Replace old sign with new sign. Zing! Done.

I don't know why.

It was someone else's suggestion:

Folks, at this point there's only one thing we can do…

Start a petition to rename "Douglas Ford Park" in Etobicoke to "Anthony Smith Park." Who's with me?

Parks Department Recommendation:

Motion:

Etobicoke York Community Council Decision:

Motion was forwarded by...... Frances Nunziata. What a surprise. Note that Rob Ford declared a conflict of interest and refrained from voting, even though the decision was not "both financially beneficial to the city and financially beneficial to (himself)".

No reason that both can't happen. The city would never change the name - it's just to piss off Rob and Doug.

People should know that trying to cut down the sign with a saw or spraypaint over his name would be illegal, that they shouldn't attempt it even though there aren't any security cameras, and that they shouldn't get supplies from the Home Hardware which is nearby at Islington and Rathburn.

^ Not to be a stick in the mud, but "Murphy's Law" would then have a child injured in the park, with a delay in service because the crew could not find the park because the sign was removed, painted over or "unofficially" changed to another name.

Parents then sue the city for big $$.

Maybe the park should be renamed Doolittle Park in light of her public service of exposing the people of Toronto to some of the horrors of the Ford Clan.

Hey, it's the anniversary of that Dixon shooting and 15 Windsor break in! Wonder if cops are any closer to solving those two cases!

Maybe this has been answered, last week police questioned one of the drug dealers from the Rub, Slisi and Kathy Ford incident on apr. 26. How did they find this person? Did this person willingly come to them? Did they have surveillance on Rofo and were able to track this guy down?

A lot of questions.

Didn't the dealer want his name published, for some reason, but Doolittle chose not to? So maybe she passed along his name to the police.
