    Roads: Ontario/GTA Highways Discussion

Rather than widening, I’d rather they build bus only lanes with barriers on as many highways as they possibly can.

TTC: Automatic Train Control and Subway Platform Screen Doors

Shocker…..things cost money! I’m flabbergasted! Meanwhile I was just on Line 1 and the operator is slowing down to a crawl before every station….blowing the horn….then crawls into the station. World Class Service! Bravo! What should have been a 20 min ride has morphed into a 40 min ride with...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

The headlines speak for themselves. You won’t find anybody in the GTA ever supporting LRTs ever again, what’s what I’m happy about. The only people I feel sorry for are the residents of Finch West….people living paycheque to paycheque, choosing between groceries and gas every Friday, while a...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Metrolinx getting schooled by one person with several accounts. Hilarious.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I think part of the problem is the way “LRT” is used. Someone mentioned it earlier too above. The term is so vague that it allows for massive overpromise without anyone being honest about what is actually being built. Toronto already had established modes of transport: bus, subway, streetcar...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

If the benchmark for a global international city like Toronto is to compare itself to other recently built, failure prone Canadian systems, then expectations have already collapsed. Cities like Toronto should compare themselves to places with long winters and reliable operations such as...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

Per a recent poll by Liaison Strategies, 70% of respondents said the new Finch West LRT line has been unsuccessful including 62% who said it was very unsuccessful. Some reviews of Line 6 from online Bravo….oh right this is just a “sOfT” Tac…..I mean “sOfT OPeNinG”. …and it’s closed now...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

The headlines speak for themselves I don't even need to say anything anymore. The rage on discord and reddit is even better. Fitting that my suspension at UT forum lifts the day the grey streetcar suspends all service due to....checks notes... ...snowfall.

The Future of subway and rapid transit in the GTA

That’s really rich….many of the same people now dismissing criticism spent hundreds of pages in the Finch West LRT and Eglinton Crosstown threads praising this project and shutting down concerns or anyone who mentioned the S word. Anyone who questioned whether LRT was the right technology for...

The Future of subway and rapid transit in the GTA

@urbanclient – I feel like your comments would be more welcomed on places like r/TTC Reddit and Discord. Really detailed stuff. Appreciate your patience too.

The Future of subway and rapid transit in the GTA

Toronto is far denser, far larger, and far more important in every meaningful sense than Calgary. Denying that is either ignorance or willful trolling. So just stop. Let’s also address this gem: “larger, denser cities than Toronto are building LRT, so density doesn’t matter.” Here’s the...

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

It's not too much to ask to have better speeds and better reliability. This is the bare minimum when it comes to public transport....you can have both, we don't have to chose one or another.
