Keep in mind O2 is part of the consultant group on this one, and they seem to have a knack for getting taller-than-usual towers approved in various parts of the city (think Kit @ Kensington among others). I just hope Bankside is able to get something this ambitious off the ground.

I'm not getting my hopes up. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 35x, shame on me...

No kidding. Like, most of them to be honest.

    Calgary International Airport

I was kind of surprised that we ever got a Raleigh flight in the first place, its not really a high profile city and its really only a midsize airport. All things considered this shows WJ continuing to consolidate in Calgary by pulling more Vancouver and Edmonton routes. I wouldn't be...

    Calgary | Imperia | 95.3m | 27s | Truman | NORR

Yes it was. But a way deeper hole and a much larger building footprint. For that matter, I think Lincoln's excavation went faster even though its 10 floors taller.

I am very confident we will surpass 20 million this year, which is exciting. I recall reading a couple years ago that 20 million is considered the threshold for being considered a large airport by global standards.

So...hate to be he bearer of bad news but I drove by today and the site was completely empty again, diggers gone. It feels like they are fucking with us at this point...

Pity. I really liked this project.

    Calgary | The Galloway | 37m | 10s | Ayrshire | EFG Architects

Certainly appears so. They should be wrapping up shoring shortly, and looks like Copenhagen is about to get underway.

    Calgary | Westcrest Sunalta | 11m | 4s | Westcrest | FAAS Architecture

Agreed. Unfortunately the renders suggest we are getting 4 identical buildings with the usual color combination of charcoal stucco and FAAS grey Hardie panels.

    Calgary | Kensington Project 201 | 50m | 14s | Quantum Place

Pretty sure the redesignation was nothing more than a land lift for the current owner. They have no development expertise, so I don't expect to see something happen on this site unless and until it gets purchased by an experienced developer.

    Calgary International Airport

On another note, all these new flights ought to get YYC's passenger numbers over the 20 million mark this year (assuming we didn't hit that milestone in 2025)

    Calgary | Plaza | 109m | 33s | Cantiro | GEC

Looks like Alex_YYC is correct, it does appear that the diggers were doing a bit of grading/ leveling.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

I would love it to be the Quadreal project. Unfortunately, them being a pension fund, I don't see them moving forward with anything on that scale with the current global uncertainty and the softening multi family market. And they strike me as being rather conservative, thus not the kind of...

    Calgary International Airport

I checked out the cost of a flight Jan 8-22 next year, it came up as $2390.44 for the two of us, which works out to just under $1200 each - pretty reasonable I thought.
