    Calgary | Midfield Heights | 40m | 11s | City of Calgary

I don't love the at-grade interface with the surface parking but overall a decent looking project

    Calgary | Crown Park | 11m | 3s | Brookfield

That Alpha Built project looks decent - certainly a hell of a lot better than Brookfield's townhomes...

As long as we get Metallica next time around...

    Calgary | Plaza | 109m | 33s | Cantiro | GEC

Maybe it is actually under construction but they are using the same contractor as Harmony ;)

Back in October, at the Calgary Real Estate Forum the project manager participated in a panel and stated the project is on time.

    Statscan numbers

Those Ottawa numbers do seem a little low to me. It might come down to an aging population? Also being near Toronto and Montreal, Ottawa tends to get overlooked, and doesn't seem to draw as many immigrants as the other big cities.

    Statscan numbers

Its conceivable (although unlikely) that Calgary could surpass Vancouver by 2049, especially if Vancouver experiences a few years of decline/stagnation due to the cuts in immigration. Perhaps due to the volatile nature of growth in Calgary, its growth rate has often been underestimated. At a...

    Rumours & Speculation

Not sure if the lot next to Keynote is big enough to accommodate a super tall, unless it's an incredibly slender one like Billionaires Row in NYC. I'd be cool with ~50 floors on that site, to help fill in the gap between the many 500-800' towers north of the CP tracks and the eventual Broadway...

    Rumours & Speculation

No intel, but I would love it to be something in Eau Claire.

    Calgary | Bluestone | 78m | 18s | Amble Ventures | NORR

I don't mind it for filler. I'm glad it's not tall enough to stand out in the skyline though.

    Infill Development Discussion

There are quite a few going up in Mt Pleasant and Capitol Hill. Basically, either 4-plexes or what they call "dual semis" (two pairs of semis, one behind the other), for a total of 8 units when you include the secondary suites. There are 4 going up on one block alone on 20th AV, between 7th...

    Calgary | Centre Street Mixed Use | 22m | 6s | Jackson McCormick

I also like midrise as long as it's done well (although the same can be said about highrise). I'm excited to see the high rises going up in Beltline and downtown and would love to see more of them in those areas to further enhance the skyline, but I hope areas like Kensington, Mission and...

    Amazing news! Great to hear!

    Calgary | Scotia Place | 36.85m | 11s | CSEC | HOK

Unfortunately, the " Big Owe" situation is a choice between terrible options. Either spend $870 million on a new roof for a building that needs major renovations on top of that in order to be of much use for anything, or spend up to $2 billion to demolish the thing (although a lot of people...
