With all the design consideration throughout the Portlands, these bridges are huge misstep. Maybe too difficult of a design challenge with the old Gardiner columns still in the way. Only if the reconstruction of the DVP / Gardiner ramps could have been sequenced first.

Why aren't we using these developments to help connect neighbourhoods? We could effectively build a bridge over the GO and TTC tracks in this location to connect this development to the inevitability of developments along the south side of the tracks. I'm so curious to see how the Annette / Dundas / DuPont intersection gets reconfigured. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of this intersections gets infilled once this infrastructure work is complete. Future buildings now have a high bar to match!

Such a good building but this fence is so bad. The car gate is even worse. I’ve also noticed efflorescence on a lot of contemporary brick buildings lately. Is there something different about the brick curing process or the mortar? Are the walls being too well dried?

How do the riverbanks get finished at the plugs? Both photos taken from the Cherry South bridge. Also, after the plugs are unplugged, does the Keating get dammed and drained to rebuild the channel wall? They’re in a bad state.

This is what I mean! It just feels like Commissioners will be the main transit line in the Portlands. A simple straight line would’ve helped counterbalance the naturalised river.

As impressive as all of this is, there is something very unsatisfying about the "wiggles" in the realignment of Commissioners. Sometimes the yellow line merges and there is separates. It just seem like it could have been simplified and that the road could have been narrower. I blame this one...
