I’m hoping the new Fairmont goes in to the lot empty lot you mentioned. It’d be the perfect spot for it.

I was at the new store yesterday. I have to say, it’s really nice, kind of a cross between a regular grocery store and an Urban Fare. I had some butter chicken and vindaloo from the curry soup station and was happy with it. I thought it was good value.

Having this built will be a bonus for Vetro and Sasso. I’d rather look at this than the SE industrial parks.

If we were in China, HSR through downtown Calgary would be an easy task, but in red tape bound, bureaucratic Canada it’s going to take 50 years to get it done. It’s unfortunate because having it go through downtown and in to Banff is what makes it useful. An HSR line between Calgary and Edmonton...

In regards to the discussion about a new stadium bringing outdoor concerts to Calgary, it could be solved by trying to change the noise bylaw. As bad as McMahon is, older crummier stadiums (Taylor Field, the old Winnipeg Stadium, Landowne Park, etc) were still able to attract outdoor concerts...

I’d like to see east village be the location for the Allies Morris designed proposal. With Vibe rumored to be the next proposal to go, a large EV development to go either it would really fill out the neighborhood.

It’s a bit of a mess design wise but it’s a big improvement to the current building.

I’m now thinking it’s going to be for the lot north west of the BMO center. I can’t see McKinley Studios spending time making a concept rendering for that lot if there wasn’t something in the works.
