It is a lifestyle neighbourhood, though. People who live there who want a new build, on the river and close to urban parks, and walkable to downtown (whether that's for work or for nightlife/restaurants). if not for the street people/drop in centre, I think it would definitely feel more...

No way was Bex Vintage a failed business. Or the Tiba store on the corner. And the stamp store, and the snowboard shop next door (which had the parking lot behind it) had been open for years. Businesses like that are not going to return to this corner for a very long time.

IIRC the return of 4-car trains is waiting for some work to be completed at the Haysboro garage? I read that the new Eglinton line vehicles in Toronto could go up to 80 km/h, which is also the limit of our LRVs. I thought the green line needed to meet the red/blue lines further west (2 St W)...

Both lines are grade-separated from the CPKC line, though.

Ranchmans Village will be like a 15-20 minute walk from both Southland and Heritage stations.

I have less hope for this one. It's on the wrong side of Macleod from the station, and up a hill. The current pedestrian access isn't great (long light, heavy traffic zooming by right next to the sidewalk), and the proposed design for grade separation is bad in different ways.

Seems to have survived appeal - DP2024-08825 is approved. ✅
