    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

Are baggage cars making a return to the.corridor? Or is it a dead head move?

    Intercity Bus Services

Actually this is how most InterCity bus service should run. But why downtown Oshawa and not the GO station?

GO Transit Fleet Equipment and other

When VIA ran to Niagara they had 6?(Including the maple leaf) To Niagara. So I'm sure they could do the same now.

    Intercity Bus Services

It amazes me that the mayor's of these towns and cities don't come together to build some transportation network. Port Hope, Brighton, Trenton, Cobourg and Bellville could easily connect their transit systems to link with their neighbors (Brighton doesn't have transit but is close to Cobourg).

    Intercity Bus Services

I thought de-regulation means you can run from anywhere to anywhere regardless of your operating permit? When Greyhound operated the Ottawa route the milkrun through Peterborough and all of the small towns was busy. Express along the 401 is quick but the point of the bus is to be flexible and...

    Intercity Bus Services

I don't think there is that much demand. Most of the time the rider express and Megabus are empty during the week. They all leave within an hour of each other like a convoy up the DVP. I'm sure that on weekends it can get busy with tourists.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

In Tokyo the JR train company competes with Keykyu and Keio railways. The metro is run by the municipality. Bus companies compete in this space also and is much cheaper but less comfortable.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

I don't think it's sensible to "commute" to Toronto past Peterborough unless there is faster rail service beyond 160kmph. The cost and time is just not with it. Now that doesn't mean that you wouldn't commute to Oshawa. With the cost of living becoming astronomical in Toronto people will...

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

I'm sure that Nova bus is still around thanks to investment and engineering help from Volvo. Without it it would just be a Quebec crown corporation that will get provincial orders by default.

Then lobby the minister of transport to bring the train back.

GO is already planning an expansion to Bowmanville. You can build a bus link to Port Hope.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

Pre pandemic there was a morning and evening train that started and ended at Kingston but VIA has been reluctant to bring it back. They still need to retire all LRC's so it's not like they have all of their needs met in terms of equipment.

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

If Nova bus went under, that would leave only New flyer which would create a monopoly in the Canadian market. Not going to happen.

    Quebec-Windsor Corridor

It doesn't need to be 300kmph to compete with the car. Sustained 160kmph is faster than a car and with downtown to downtown service can compete with flying. Start there and then work your way to faster speeds.

TTC: Electric and alternative fuel buses

Nova bus has a parent company Volvo which will not let it go out of business. Every company is struggling right now with cashflow. Have you not seen how many companies filed for chapter 11 just in the past 30 days? Body shop, Bowflex, Peleton, etc
