Absolutely, just approve stamp. That being said, it's crazy how insanely inefficient some "dense" proposals are because of automobile requirements and set backs. Without a proper analysis, I'd just estimate that 75%-80% of the property is asphalt and grass, with only 20%-25% being actual...

    Hamilton Toronto | The Point | 19.25m | 6s | Yoke Group | Lintack

Very excited to see this done. Yoke has been doing solid midrise, and getting some businesses along here for the bicycle commuters to stop at will be great (I love you Phin but this section of road is spooky to cross in the morning, still go when I can though).

    Hamilton 152 King Street West | 41m | 12s | Vrancor + Equal Parts

Having spoken to those who know Darko personally or through business, he ultimately thinks of himself as a businessman first, a hotelier second, and a legacy builder lately third. Building a memorable boutique hotel next to the arena achieves all three. In the Hamilton of yesteryear with...

    Hamilton 152 King Street West | 41m | 12s | Vrancor + Equal Parts

Considering the current rental market and the hotel market, I'd put my money on a hotel project across from a multi-million dollar arena renovation happening before start of a rental tower right next to two new rental towers that will likely take 3-5 years to reach full occupancy themselves...

    Hamilton Toronto | TD Coliseum Renovations | ?m | 4s | OVG | BBB

That would be kind of crazy for Hamilton. An AHL team, Lacrosse, and PWHL, in addition to its regular hosting of big name concerts? Hamilton is already noticeably busier downtown, partly as a result of this venue, but it would be so much busier still if they can pull that off.

    Hamilton 152 King Street West | 41m | 12s | Vrancor + Equal Parts

So they made it more difficult to demolish because developers were demolishing buildings that shouldn't be and sat as an empty lot for years to decades. Now they went back to the old way because they can't be bothered to enforce rules around... Checks notes... Making sure buildings are...

I thought they can only get a demolition permit if the site plan is submitted and approved? Additionally. With no other obvious projects following the two on King St at Queen and Caroline, I wouldn't be surprised if they move quickly on this.

This one is moving quickly. I hope they don't mess with the sidewalk and bicycle lane for three years for construction like the McMaster and other Vrancor project did

    Hamilton Toronto | Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

Says Metrolinx staff when asked. They were clear the LRT would travel the posted speed limit for the entire ROW and be applicable to all modes. Where in Toronto have separate speed limits been used? I ask because the Hamilton LRT is not a street car but it is also very much not a fully grade...

    Hamilton Toronto | Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

The new information is the agreement to sign within 90 days (and likely the reason Aecon hasn't been announced yet as the winning bid for civil works contract)

    Hamilton Toronto | Hamilton Line B LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I think the bigger issue with our LRTs is the lack of speed on straightaways. LRT can operate at 60km/h - 80km/h, and yet our LRTs often travel at 30-40km/h for two large reasons: 1) LRT cannot have their own speed limit, so if automobiles have a 40 km/h speed limit this applied to the centre...

    Hamilton Lime Ridge Mall Intensification (Phase 1) | ?m | 12s | Primaris REIT | WZMH

@Paclo i think this thread's title should be changed considering it is no longer intended to include intensification (unless you know differently)

    Hamilton Toronto | Manor on Main | 44.95m | 12s | Bloomfield Group | KNYMH

Oh I'm absolutely supportive of building a stronger tax base through intensification, more efficient land use, reduced infrastructure per-capita spending and relaxed building regs, in addition to attracting employment and industrial investment. I'm just not sure "business-focused" is the right...

I'll walk by maybe later this week on a work break and see if I can get some additional photos of the cladding. It seems aggressive to be putting up cladding while the tower is only ⅓ done. Vrancor for example didn't start putting up cladding until it was largely done the tower portion.
