Wow I don't remember the last time I have seen "stone" restoration since the battered womens ruin restoration near the hospital downtown!
They remain the pinnacle of development and restoration for our city - we are truly blessed to have them!
Also I can't tell from the angle of the new pics...
Hrm... it just sorta feels "there" - like it doesn't stand out at all - just a tower of glass..
Thay also MASSIVELY cheaped out - there are no jutouts around the balconies along the side like the render showed - its all just "flat" in the glass - the original render made the balcony areas "pop"...
thank GOD wilson blanchard never went ahead with this - that company honestly needs to be run out of town for the crimes they've committed. But I am loving the ACTUAL proposal for this! (the red one)
Sooo the same reaction to almost every build we give in hamilton lol "Overall, something needed to happen, glad we got something, but I'm disappointed and feel Hamilton deserved a lot more."
I would have to wholeheartedly agree - like so much with hamilton so much seems to have gone weird, but everyone just says "well it's better than what was there, and at least hamilton is building something vs just letting buildings rot.."
So.. um.. I am guessing there isn't anything going to be put on the awnings like glass or anything? They're just a buncha rods sticking out above the windows for aesthetic..? Lol..
Also what's up with the janky foundation..? It's a new build but the foundation already looks like it's...
This is why we're always grouchy with other builds - with Core urban and a select few others the quality difference is just so noticeable and appreciated. Buildings like these deserve to be properly restored :)
Will the dormers actually be used as units though, or will it just be storage space..?
Oh wow they are actually redoing the existing dormers too - I was wondering about that as the new ones seem to be a slightly different style than the old ones
