Not enough width in the right of way combined with a need for left turn lanes, so they design it so it's a platform on one side and a left turn lane on the other. Avonmore Stop is the only stop on the SE leg with this design.

I rode by this last week and was surprised anything was being developed. I was hoping for towers too, but I'd rather this than 20 more years of surface parking lot across the street from a beautiful park. Same with what looks like a substantial downsizing of The Shift. It'll build momentum...

I’m not sure what their process is with getting newly built paths in their inventory (roster? registry? Can’t think of the right word) for snow clearing but a lot of brand new multiuse paths aren’t being cleared this year. If they were upgrades to existing sidewalks, they are being cleared.

A Mill Woods bound train left Churchill Stop shortly before the 102 St bound train arrived. No crew on the track. Hopefully not, a few years of this sounds painful. I'm just trying to do my part to pad the Valley Line ridership numbers.

Violent crimes still take place on Skytrain, dedicated transit police and attendants can't be everywhere and those fare gates don't stop fare paying or even non fare paying offenders. Not transit specific but this is a very active topic on crime/disorder in Vancouver...

I often like to transfer to the Valley Line at Churchill to do my absurdly short hop to 102 St stop if the timing is right. This morning was bizarre, it took three green light cycles for the train to get the vertical line crossing 100 St, a brief stop at 100A St but we got the vertical line...

We should be doing better. Low crime rates don't mean anything for actual victims and witnesses of crime.
