I was always wondering if they were going to build something on the empty parking lot beside Hy's Center as I once lived there from 1989 to 1992 ! It was funky as I was working an evening shift so I'd sleep half the morning away and get to listen to jets a lot of the time if they were landing...

Any word on NAIT student housing supposedly being built on the old airport lands? 🤔

Although I like where Edmonton's downtown core skyline is going, you just can't compare Edmonton's conservative core to Calgary's beautiful and TALL downtown core! I see ultra conservative thinking in E-Town and ultra aggressive thinking in C-Town when it comes to the core of each city ! 🤷‍♂️

I always liked the look of these and a few years ago I saw one for sale on the MLS website and got to see inside. I wish they’d do more retro stuff like this because the layout and design in there was very cool !! 😎

^^ not sure I agree? For all the warts downtown has, when my daughter and her roomie were living in the downtown core in a high rise on 104th street, they loved it there because they could literally walk to the office, the gym, the grocery store, and Roger’s Place for the Oilers games and...

If we're going to continue to bring to the city 42,000 people every year or there abouts then they gotta keep building and this project seems like a pretty good one ! 🤷‍♂️
