Who knew that "health care" would be such an important topic to all Albertans, not just those who reside in Red Deer. By the time they build anything - we'll have come full circle and the UCP will be in power again....lol

Well, after almost 40 years it is past time for new hospital building, don't you think? Too bad the UCP and her predecessor cancelled the new one planned in 2018 and since then she has dithered about moving ahead with it.

So it is really no surprise the state of health care in Edmonton is the mess it currently is. This is totally self inflicted by the UCP.

Amazon has purchased 50 acres at 16404 145 Avenue NW in the second phase of Apex Business Park for a planned new fulfillment centre, in a Q4 2025 deal valued at $39.7 million, or just over $793,000 per acre. The land comes from Panattoni and Manulife, who will continue with another 450,000 to 500,000 square feet of speculative industrial space on the remaining 25 acres this spring.

That's the area just south of the Henday that was cleared leveled and serviced last fall. New water lines went in as well. Pile rigs have been there all winter.

The Old Brick warehouse facility is now being converted to the Good Will warehouse. They are moving about a block west from their current location

I've noticed this past year they have also cleared a ton of brush/trees along the Henday (east side of the road) from SPR to Yellowhead as well, assumedly for developing more warehouse/light industrial space.

Saw that the province is funding a new soccer dome in the west end (secord). Also, new lodge at the edm ski club is getting 1.5M from the province.
