    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

If so, the connecting bus routes should be rerouted to nearby stations as much as possible.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Probably right, though the tweet mentions "subway tunnel work". They are still far from starting underpinning though.

I wonder what sort of work they'll be doing on the tunnel this weekend.

    Toronto Toronto | King-Liberty GO Station | 21.39m | 3s | Metrolinx | WSP

Knowing Toronto, the new UPX will be a regular, lumbering diesel GO train that gives strong Tim Hortons vibes (folksy and depressing). It will have an erratic schedule and you will connect to it from the airport by a perpetually-delayed bus. We will dismantle the spur that we just built 10...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

So Mt. Dennis will see 30-minute frequency? News articles are reporting that the new service will switch between non-stop and all-stops, but there will again be no non-stop service as of whenever Mt. Dennis opens. It seems like what would make sense here is a service increase and a fare...

    Toronto Toronto | Union Pearson Express | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | MMM Group Limited

Not to mention Mt. Dennis, which will have the fastest connection to UPX of any of its stations.

As said by someone doesn't travel for work. ^ When you have a flight every couple of weeks (or more often), you'll have NEXUS for transborder trips and priority security. I'm through security and US customs in <15 mins every time I travel, and like most other business travellers am not going to...

I'm an "airport traveller" but I change from line 2 to UPX :(

    Toronto Toronto | King-Liberty GO Station | 21.39m | 3s | Metrolinx | WSP

I don't think UPX is planned to stop at King-Liberty. I meant that the connection from GO to UPX at Bloor will be a lot faster and more reliable than 504 to UPX.

Surprised they didn't mention how much better the connectivity to Pearson will be for local residents.

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

This does happen often on the streetcar, which is why we see bunching on the network. There will be a minor incident on the streetcar in front, and then at the next stop, the doors are held, etc. Meanwhile, the car that has been running close behind with fewer passengers is now ahead of...

GO Transit: Construction Projects (Metrolinx, various)

Another day, another UTer writing an unnecessarily rude response.

    Toronto Pape Transit-Oriented Community | 99.72m | 29s | Infrastructure ON | SvN

If work on the TOD towers is a non-starter until the OL is near completion, I wonder what state the site will be in on opening day. It seems like it would be difficult to justify doing the landscape architecture that's been proposed, only to need to tear it up a couple years later.

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

I lived in Sydney for several years. It's much wealthier than Toronto, and they don't cheap out on projects the way we do (*cough* Line 5 *cough*). They don't have a municipal government in the sense that we North Americans would expect, which has its pros and cons, of course. One such pro is...
