That's the danger of any evening set, or as I call them, twilight/render magic time renderings, where the sun appears to have already set in front (behind you as you see in the render) There's bound to be some leeway given or warm vs cool tones of cladding, and whether x matetial is truly x, or...

Agreed. Plus, its like 100 feet above street level.

They've applied the first bit of window wall cladding above the base "building". It's a dark blackish colour. I wouldn't say it looks great, but its fine, since a bunch of balconies will cover up 90% of it anyway.

    Like lambs to the slaughter.

You basically do on Eglinton as is...the trains are supposedly running a bit 'slower' in the tunnels at the moment so, they will have to tweak their announcement regiment, and understand we're not riding a bloody GO train, which takes a few minutes between stations.

    Toronto Toronto | Eglinton Line 5 | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | Arcadis

Yeah, it's patently absurd. I see no purpose in the French announcements, and am absolutely gobsmacked that we need to be told how to use a train while its in motion. It's not like public transit has only just started running on Eglinton for the first time ever...

I agree, that'll be good. I still find this a bit too tall and well...the podiums very lacklustre, but, it's just minor issues ultimately.

Yeah, the audio is awful in geberal, both on trains and in stations. It is a bit loud, but it's also not functioning oroperly in every train set I've ridden so far...the audio is also scratchy and sounds like a Charlie Brown cartoon at times.

Oh right, this is rental...that's how this is even starting. Well then, this'll be something to watch over the next few years. I'm not expecting anything pretty, but, this'll be a huge set of towers for the area.

So they finally got that old house, I wonder if they'll reconfigure the plaza much along that section in light of redeveloping that property.

It seems like they were genuinely shrunken down, not just made more squat in those renders.

Ugh. They're really piling on the trash with these proposals at Davisville station, holy smokes.

I didnt even know of this proposal, I am totally against itm This stretch is busy but very well trafficked, and replicating this retsil environment again in a high density development jyst wouldnt be the same IMO, nevermind how long the construction will take and contribute to less foot traffic...

All fenced off, from two days ago. Another piece of my childhood, soon to go bye bye. On the walk home from this walk, I noticed the signage is still lit up, so power is still running on site.

I just saw Tim Horton's is returning to the site...no pic as my bus zoomed past the site. They're on the southwest corner.
