I visited the area yesterday, possibly my first time in the area...or atleast the first in 9 or more years. I'm glad to see this area is densifying, frankly I never really knew there'd be this much development in this area, but it makes sense. This last image was taken by the Walmart north of here.

Yesterday. The podium is quite interesting on this project, though my cell phone died before I was able to photograph it to a greater degree.

From yesterday. I'm rather impressed with the quality of this development, even if the podium seems a bit heavy and reductive, especially beside Untitled.

The first two images are from Saturday night, and the rest from yesterday

Yesterday. It's such a pleasure to see this graceful, sleek design in the neighbourhood. If only it wasnt so walled in by other projects, the grey lustre of spandrel cladding demands our attention. SL

Also from Hamilton, Victoria Park specifically I'm pretty sure my camera was underexposing things due to a WB setting I put on it, but I cannot remember...it was a very long day.

I hope they someday bury those hydro lines and add some trees to cover up that podium. Having the worst of both worlds (an unimaginative podium + ugly electrical infrastructure) is not ideal for what will one day be a "main street" of this area, even though I don't necessarily see that happening.

I should've clarified my post. I meant for a connection west to convention centre, then to cross Front to this new tower. Although I see the reasons above for why this connection hasn't been pursued yet.

That area is definitely ideal for a new PATH connection, to bring greater connectivity to that section of the PATH. My only suggestion for the new PATH tunnel would be from the Citi building to 160 Front, but that's without knowing the PATH very well and how feasible it would be to build that.

I agree full stop. This is in fact some of the best stock in the neighbourhood among the older commercial shops on this stretch. It needs some refurbishment sure, but it's detail work and demonstration of later 19th century architectural form is very telling in this area, mostly due to how...

From last night, a derrick crane is seemingly in the process of removing the tower crane. Well, helping to do such soon anyway.

Seeing this beautiful example of G+C's work REALLY made my day today. Just look at that white cladding shine! (Sarcastic Lee, or as I'll just put after my posts on this thread from now on, SL*)

    Marineland (?, ?s, ?)

Yeah, this....is just heartbreaking. Shame on the owners of this park. I've been looking forward to the day this place would shutter for well over a decade, marine animals especially do not do well in captivity, especially larger animals. They need space to move around. That being said, I...

I took these on Friday. The vehicles on site were in different positions by Sunday, but likely this is due to site activity in that period, partly attributed to the weather.
