It's fun seeing this building pop up in views from areas around downtown because of its superior height relative to Hamilton's previous generations of apartment buildings. I love the view of the crown from Caroline in Durand here.

If I were told a week ago that one proposed development in the Hamilton area was destined for non-approval, this very well might have been the one I would have identified. The only good argument for this was density for the sake of density. The neighbourhood is neither well-serviced for that...

The crown of these two buildings (as well as the nearing-completion McMaster grad res) are tall enough to be visible from various parts of the mountain. This is from a friend's balcony on Fennell. @rdaner I think occupancy will begin in May. North tower will rent up first, and south tower...

A 100-room hotel is planned for 2025 construction start on a vacant site at 4711 Ontario St in Beamsville, near the QEW access ramps (opposite corner of the access ramps from the larger hotel + condo proposal shared in a separate thread last week... This would be closer to the future Go train...
