I don't think a DT No Frills would cannibalize other grocers, as Save-On and City Market don’t target the same demographics as No Frills does. Kind of like how you see Walmart and Safeway together in suburban power centres.

I don’t think there’s a tenant yet for the second pic, or if there is it hasn’t been announced. The SW corner of 101St/102 ave will be National Bank.

I’m indifferent on this. Sure, I would’ve liked to have seen some height, but these are lots that might’ve sat vacant for another 10+ years if Westrich hadn’t come and built their 6 storey walkups. As long as they don’t replicate this on the old BMO site.. 😠

The NDP also appointed two of the five commissioners. And the new maps were approved by 3/5 commissioners (which were the NDP appointed ones plus one UCP appointed one). The other two of the UCP appointed commissioners put out their maps, which were heavily gerrymandered (pie shaped Lethbridge...

It’s not gerrymandering. The maps are drawn up by independent commission, not the government like we see in the states.

Nenshi needs to win an election, and publicly supporting a federal leader whose policies are detrimental to the livelihoods of a large chunk of Albertans doesn’t win you votes in Alberta.

Isn’t Decathlon in downsizing mode right now? They closed a few stores in the GTA recently, and apparently their Calgary stores aren’t doing as well as expected. We were supposed to get one at South Common, but it never materialized.

This is under construction now, but now it’s 2 x 4 storey.
