They ride a very fine line. The people that work Tim's in rural areas are not the same as those who work in urban areas. I'm sure the franchise owners who were lobbying MPs on relaxing foreign worker rules were urban or suburban location franchisees.

Kind of. In cities with multiple train stations and multiple modes of trains it isn't always the case that high-speed trains travel "downtown". Generally they just get you to the city and then the rest of the system does the work getting you to where you need to go in the city. Shanghai-Beijing...

The tower is nice but the podium is bafflingly bad. Appreciate the wider sidewalk for the streetcar stop, although having two stops so quick in succession seems redundant now.

An easy solution to this issue is to have one custodial staff responsible for each WC set, so that there's always eyes on it and so they're usually clean.

The team has had plans to build its own stadium since its very inception in 2018/2019. No real progress has been made that anyone outside the team is aware of. I'd be impressed if they were able to do either this or renovate Lamport but i'm not holding my breath at this point.
