Naming stations after people provides zero wayfinding ability. Also, not to mention the historical reparations that need to happen when said person is found to be a terrible person.
Would have been nice if the folks at Metrolinx included a bus pull-in bay for more seamless transfers. But maybe that's a bit more challenging with the surrounding bike lanes?
These buildings are starting to grow on me. This build is definitely not chic, however, it brings a much needed warmth to architecture in this city, and the heavy black framing is kinda playful.
In the grand scheme of things there's nothing too interesting about the exterior of this building. However, considering Toronto's obsession with the banal, this is a real winner for the city.
Totally agreed - that streetcar is desperately needed. But could you imagine if they started building that extension today? With all the current road closures, downtown would be in crisis mode!
