So it’s not included even if it has usable/habitable interior space, as seen on the elevations? Interesting.

So the amenity space on the 13th floor is not part of the floor count?

Thanks for the excellent pics, Red Mars! You actually zoomed in right on my unit!

I used to live in the US and that wall finish, called knockdown drywall texture, is really popular there and drove me crazy whenever I see it. The corners are also rounded so that there is less labour in creating a perfect straight sharp corner. It looks like rustic stucco finish that belongs on...

Nice view, but I have no seller’s remorse at all (I had an outside corner unit on a high floor similar to yours). I bought at KING Toronto as I prefer that area more (and of course the building) and wanted lots more outdoor space rather than the tiny obscured balconies at Nobu. Are you living...

No, the hotel entrance is on the northwest corner (off the driveway) in front of the residential entrance of the west tower. I’m still shocked at how they badly they butchered the tops of the towers. It looks like they simply gave up and slapped on whatever they can get. And this is the most...

There are lots of condos in the city that have exposed concrete ceilings. I actually like them if they are done right, but look absolutely horrible if improperly finished. I live in a soft loft and the concrete ceilings complete the modern industrial aesthetics. I had to brush on a layer of...

The purple mech-PH lights at Luna does look good (as seen in 3dementia’s photo) as it highlights selected glazing panels creating an interesting pattern on the glazed facade. I don’t mind seeing the mechanical equipment as long as it looks cool and it’s kept in a good and tidy state. I remember...

It’s literally a small hotel room. Good as a pied-a-terre/crash pad or as an AirBnB.

I have been a longtime fan of Murakami’s work, and though his colourful smiley flowers have been a major theme to his work (it has nothing to do with gay pride) he is inspired by ancient and traditional Ukiyo-e Japanese art, often rooted in mythology, and interprets then in a contemporary pop or...

I like the concept at CityPlace but all that was done was installing coloured lights to the mechanical penthouse levels which at certain angles, and especially seen from other condos, highlights the not so attractive mechanical equipment and other stuff inside. Adding a simple frosted film (or...

I like how the leaf pattern is abstracted and not so clearly literal, as it could look tired and tacky over time, however, the leaf motif will be lost or be more obscure when the building is occupied with the white window coverings.

I was looking back at the mock-up Westbank presented at an event back in September of 2021. The joints are black but the backing has more of a silvery reflective look. There’s less of a contrast compared to the newest sample which the backing appears to be white.

Hmmm, those sample glass block wall panels look different from the original design and mockup. The design was supposed to have a reflective backing for the parts that are not vision glass (spandrel). Looking at those samples it looks to be white — it lacks the depth and luminance of a reflective...
