Like I said, people know restaurants can be a money pit so it is likely nobody wants to buy it. That said, King East is ripe for redevelopment so it makes sense that they would want to close up shop and cash out.

I was there last week. They were still putting finishing touches on things and using the bus loop to park vehicles.

Diners are hit and miss. To use an example, when George Dafos sold the Gingerman the prices skyrocketed and business dropped. Breakfast used to be a cheap meal that is now $50 to $60 for three people. People see that, they see the margins and it's not worth the headaches unfortunately.

That sucks but in a way I am not surprised. The Owners are vintage and the hours are not ideal. I used to work in the area and they closed so early I never made it work.
