    The Retail Apocalypse

That may be the last of them. Honestly, Toys 'R' Us has not been good since the late 80s and early 90s. With the advent of online shopping, social media and an ever changing landscape it is hard to keep up. Think about it. Trends and toys change so quickly now, it's not like the 90s where...

News on retail chains (was: New Mall Retail)

I kind of agree with you on that one. I used to go there when I worked nearby in 2022 and recently it has gone downhill.

    Blue Jays

I wish him the best but he is going to have problems. He's slow to get started and the pitch clock killed him. Great player but not a good fit for the MLB. I can see him heing DFA'd by the first half of the season.

    PM Mark Carney's Canada

Not sure where to put this but here seems most apt. Apparently Tim Hortons was seeking more temporary foreign workers and expedition with visa paperwork for their employees. For me personally, it sours me on Tim's a bit. I feel like they are out of touch with reality and not grasping their...

Shoppers would be a welcome addition there. They are somewhat in a druggist void there.

President Donald Trump's United States of America

So.. are we just going to assume that at some point in the next 12 months the US will invade Central America? I wonder though.. if Trump attempts to pull a Gulf of Tonkin style incident will Congress, The Senate and Supreme Court stand idly by? While the GOP is drinking the orange Kool-Aid I...

Downtown Grocery Store List (current + proposed)

That's what Harrods did to a certain extent with their food hall. Majority of it is a cafe style setup with some small take home offerings of pasteries and the like but nothing akin to a fully grocery setup. It works well and even got me paying 18 GBP for a coffee.

Even if they wanted to I don't think they could. The parking garage is on that corner.

    TTC: Other Items (catch all)

Which is deceptive. There was in fact a slow order between Vic Park and Warden recently.

They reopened the bridge as a by-pass last month.

Somehow I don't see Queen Street reopening in 2026.

My understanding from talking to the late Derek Boles was that it was removed during a modernization/renovation throughout the years. There was hope during the USRPAG era that it would be returned in its original form.

Agreed but now it is more in your face than it would be without Line 6 being open.

It's a shame they cannot restore the original desk that was there.

With Line 6 opening before Line 5, I do believe there is a desire to get the Eglinton LRT open. The longer the Eglinton LRT remains closed, the more questions will be asked. If it goes on for too long, they are going to run out of excuses and cover stories.
