    Exhibition Place

Not really. It is a conference centre now. I used to work there back in the day and fondly remember how we accidentally set the building on fire during a G20 finance ministers meeting. It is all carpet and divided into different rooms on both floors with service corridors. You cannot put...

Honestly though, that is really the only mall in that area other than Sherway or Yorkdale (both of which are quite far).

    Toronto Eaton Centre

She went on to say that her business failed partly due to a negative perception of her business. Basically she claimed people were against her because it was an indigenous business. The stress got too much and she had to liquidate.

I can already see @Towered in a cowboy outfit and assless chaps line dancing to achy breaky heart

Apparently Aaniin racked up $400,000 in invoice debt since January 1st and are still owing $150,000 This could explain why their popup closed so unexpectedly.

It's honestly coming along well. I would not be surprised to see the siding and everything up this year with substantial completion coming up in Q1 of 2027.

Honestly, Markham is the new Chinatown. Hell.. even the Walmart at Markville Mall has chinese signage.

3 actually. Chinatown (Spadina) Chinatown East (Gerrard) Chinatown North (Northeast Scarborough)

Not entirely, it is shifting northeast.

Toronto Ontario Line 3 | Metrolinx

What happens if the neighbourhood changes from Chinese oriented to upscale, wannabe hipset sociopaths for example? Will we call it the neighbourhood formerly known as Chinatown? The point I am making is that we should stick to using street names for stations, not the local area except in cases...

I agree. It sounds more like they are disassmbling the current booth and reinstalling it.

They have had an oversized Marks at Warden and Eglinton for years which seems to be doing well. That said, I am not sure if people really need another Marks Work Wearhouse. It's not the sort of store people are clamouring to go to.

    Russian-Ukrainian War (2022- )

Here's the thing. It's less of a choice and more of a need to buy Russian oil and gas in Hungary. The reality is, they are the closest option for them and the easiest. It's not like they can call up South America or the US and have crude delivered next day. They cannot send tankers from the...

I saw that and immediately thought it was a replacement for Remingtons on Yonge.

They are trying this in Pickering by demolishing parts of the Pickering Town Centre. The idea is to turn it into a planned community by tearing down and replacing little used sections. The mall itself is dying in favor of Scarborough Town Centre, Markville and Oshawa Centre and no amount of...

Yonge Street Revitalization (Downtown Yonge BIA/City of Toronto)

If I recall, it is in the tenants leases at the Eaton Centre that they have a certain level of parking available. While not everyone drives, I am sure there are a few people who do when heading to places like Best Buy or Crappy Tire. I doubt you can walk home with a 103 inch TV or exercise...

That could potentially lead to a constitutional challenge if true. Firing a journalist for reporting on the government would probably vìolate freedom of the press.
