I get the sense not much will be done here for awhile.

Maybe so but they still need to keep the numbers in check.

    PM Justin Trudeau's Canada

When I was in Niagara Falls last summer, the Wyndham Garden Inn was packed full of Refugees and Asylum Seekers who were partying and drinking on the balcony at 10 am. I am not anti-refugee (My Grandparents were Hungarian refugees in 1956) but at some point we need to say no. We need to focus...

Yes but for decades you had people living along the Esplanade, Queens Quay (West of Bay) and near St Lawrence Market. Loblaws served that segment of the population quite well until Metro, Sobeys and Longos came onto the scene.

They are more efficient.. in places like California, Louisiana and possibly BC. Once the temperature gets to zero or slightly below they become less efficient and the electric backup heating kicks in. There have been horror stories about people being told they are more energy efficient only to...

    Toronto events and festivals

I wonder if the festival will be so scaled back this year that everyone left in protest?

Thank you for bumping this Lucy. It's strange. I did not even get a notification for this post and I was the one who created it! I did try to deactivate and then reactivate all notifications but even that did not work.

    News from across Europe

I am not surprised about this. Outside Budapest, the Hungarian economy is driven by manufacturing and agriculture. Go anywhere in Budapest and you will find stands selling locally grown fruits and vegetables. When I was in Tarnok (A village just outside Budapest) just last year there were...

Oddly enough I live near there, have gone past here several thousand times but never seen it. Will need to try it out.

    Notification issues for watched threads?

Hey everyone, Is it just me or is there an issue with not receiving notifications for watched threads? I am no longer getting emails when someone makes a new post on a watched thread.

    Toronto events and festivals

To be fair there are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many festivals. They need to get back to basics with things like the Beaches Jazz Festival, Pride, Caribana, etc. When you have neighborhood community events every other day there is simply not enough funding to go around. Some festivals can...

    Bloor-Yorkville Scene

Not sure how I feel about this. Cumberland and Yorkville Avenues are becoming the new Bloor Street however Bloor Street itself is becoming desolate. It is leaving a visible row of empty spaces along one of the most highly trafficked streets in the city.

I only go to KFC when I am constipated. It clears me out.

Things were so much easier when TTR owned the station. Once it was bought and divided it all went to hell.
