They need a Markham leg, connecting the Ontario Line to Highway 7 around Woodbine or Warden

Yeah I think we should be fighting for a stop at Cherry. There will be a big gap between Corktown and the next stop. The west side has denser station placement.

    Finch West Line 6 LRT

I'd like to see a loop with Eglinton through Pearson and Malvern.

I really like this, I've often thought of similar lines, but terminating at Ontario Place is new to me. Is it feasable to get there underground? For a western DRL like this, I've had it continuing north and turning onto Kipling, to hit Rexdale and terminate at Finch.

I don't know about that, I see a few different ideas in these threads. I mean like this, it would poor planning to build a separate guideway 100m apart, and they couldn't justify it being built, especially when it's not serving any stops. This part could easily be interlined. I don't see both...

There's no way the King line can be built North of Bloor. Too close in proximity to justify. If anything the East side could use the OL tunnel to branch.

But the City of Toronto is kind of arbitrary borders. A Toronto province should include some of the surrounding GTA.

The Ontario Line and Yonge Extension will probably already be nearing capacity when they open. Now is the time to start advocating an Ontario Line North extension, to parallel the Vaughan/University Line. I think Sheppard/Don Mills is not far enough; it needs to at least go to Steeles, to...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

The West RL doesn't need to be the same line. Here's what I propose: 1) Terminate DRL at Sunnyside. Make a hub to connect with GO as well as Lakeshore/Queensway/Roncesvalles/king streetcars (or LRT). 2) both lakeshore west and Kitchener lines can be upgraded to RER type service, providing...

    Richmond Hill Toronto | Yonge Line 1 North Subway Extension | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx

I think it should go to finch/Seneca, and then cross the 404 to terminate at Steeles... Either at VP or Warden. To widen the catchment area you don't want it too close to Yonge, it should branch out a bit. Also, I think there's room for elevated for the northernmost section. Someone should...

Ontario Line Extension West of Ontario Place (Speculation)

Honestly, the lakeshore West and Kitchener rail corridors are pretty much perfect alignment for the Western DRL. The East/south DRL should just terminate at Sunnyside, and upgrade those two rail corridors to handle local service.

Because SCC should be the interchange hub, and also there's already an elevated ROW for the SRT and this would replace those stations. It also provides a route to UTSC.

Here's the eastern/Scarborough portion of my fantasy map. Features: DRL up Don Mills to Steeles & Woodbine (could extend to Markham, Highway 7 and Woodbine or Warden). After Seneca can be elevated. Sheppard subway extends through Agincourt, then takes roughly the SRT route all the way to Port...

    Toronto Toronto | Spadina Subway Extension Emergency Exits | ?m | 1s | TTC | IBI Group

LMAO. I work at a firm in one of the biggest financial district towers, and I've talked to three people there who are coming in from the new Finch West station.
