Some progress on the GO Station from my last visit, looks like a bit more digging for the GO building and the legacy piles are gone.

From Monday. The homes are now demolished.

Some action on site, including site clean up starting this week. Notice from Metrolinx here.

Looks like the Woodbine GO track shift occurring March 27-30 via this notice. Hopefully this ushers in a rush of construction on the station!

That contract was never awarded

Was able to confirm from a source that from the batch of Metrolink units Metrolinx bought, the F59PHIs are not going to be restored for service, and are just for parts. Sorry foamers!

Downtown Grimsby isn’t a growth area, the planned station location is, and there is already significant density north of the QEW, with more to come.
