Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

I’m less worried about flow for vehicles, but very worried about flow for pedestrians. If it takes 90-120 seconds to cross 104 ave to access the brewery district, that’s not improving walkability…

    The Quarters

Or stony plain road…. All the money wasted there should have gone to Whyte, Jasper, or 104st

    North Yard Development | 21m | 6s | Leston Holdings | KP Architecture Ltd.

Already done. Streets have boulevard trees and 113st has the new bike lane on the east side that dramatically reduced the road width thankfully.

I would guess this brings closer to 1000 new residents if their unit sizes and ratio of 2bdrms is similar to other 105ave buildings. Huge improvement to the area!!

    U of A real estate

    Arc Smart Fare System

Taxis, Uber, lime scooters, etc all exist and calculate fairs based on time/distance. Seems like there’s decent acceptance of those services.

The Edmonton Method - Snow Removal

Yes and no. Of course they get packed more quickly. I’m not expecting them to be perfectly clear. BUT, many literally do not shovel at all. So all the snowfall simply packs. And even on warm days, when it’s easy to clear, they don’t. You can tell the difference between the smoother...

The Edmonton Method - Snow Removal

100% Good neighbours should shovel them still as part of corner lots. But many simply stop at them, the same way many treat corners…instead of shoveling through so crossings are clear, they literally pile the snow at the crossing. The city would be a beauty to, on warm days in the winter...

    Old Royal Alberta Museum

Yeah, I loved a lot of it, but totally understand how the lack of transit access and the desired "clustering" of cultural institutions more centrally led to the move. I still think the hillside and government park in general has a ton of untapped potential. At minimum, some stairs up/down that...

    Municipal Politics

Or simply have a category for projects over 30 million and that narrows it down a ton to the ones the most people see/feel the most. (trains, major roads, new buildings)

    Old Royal Alberta Museum

This is an old concept for the old museum site
