    Downtown Real Estate

Isn’t the grant money tied to utility upgrades? Or am I misunderstanding that program?

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

Seems like some proactive approaches could be taken to more closely monitor a few dozen camera feeds for key entrances and stations with increased safety issues. Then as soon as problems arise, they can dispatch transit peace officers. The fact that there are 5+ people passed out and doing...

    Downtown Real Estate

Are there any contingencies with the infrastructure upgrade? If they’ll applied for that, does that require something be built or funds are returned?

This cannot be true or they are literally sleeping 24/7. 0 proactive responses ever…

The Edmonton Method - Snow Removal

Too many city staff live in the deep burbs and never move around without a car. It’s telling.

    General Infill Discussion

One more: Blue: 18 homes replacing 9. Yellow: 7 homes replaced 2. And 2 large redevelopment sites on 156st (3 lots) and 155st (6 lots). I could imagine both getting midrises for 100-250 units combined. Green: 160 homes on most recently vacant lands. Red: 56 homes replacing 7.

    General Infill Discussion

I think there’s a lot of nimbys in crappy old homes getting a better payday than they would if they “had their way”. I kind of chuckle at some of those people in my neighborhood who made a big stink 3 years ago and then sold to the highest bidder. “These greedy developers” then they did the...

ETS Bus and General Transit Improvements

First 2 weeks of January half our bus stops were barely accessible if you were trying to use a stroller, mobility device, or were a less confident walker. Surely that drove decreases too. I was walking, biking, and driving less during this time too. Took transit once with a stroller and it was a...
