Toronto complains about not enough housing - I wonder what the deal is with this piece of land. This is a huge property that can house many people - even if it's close to a major highway. surprised a condo developer hasn't snagged it yet.

BK opening 2 locations in east york - on Danforth / Broadview in (almost) same location as the old Mcdonalds. Now now Pape north near the Food Basic ... I wonder if BK is doing an A&W type of expansion.

To be honest. that McDonald's is pretty much THE main public gathering place in Pape village. No big parks near by, the Coffee Time closed down - there are only a couple of very small upper class coffee shops. The old Greek men will have no where to meet. I will have to drive further out to get...

2021 - still barren lands. Only positive note is that there are bee hives placed and the flowers are wonderful in the late summer. I wonder how many of those flowers were planted by the old residents .

Looks like they only lasted 1 season. For Lease sign as of early June 2017. They couldn't even stay open for spring.

hate to bump old posts but this one I just couldn't resist. My memory of this area goes back to 1988, I believe it was mostly empty, overgrown and/or derelict looking by then. I have strong memories of it because we always drove by it on the way to Knob Hill Farms (from when I was 6 years old)...

amazing. Last year I saw 2 deer behind the North York General Hospital (Sheppard/Leslie). Always wondered how they go about in this huge city without being spotted constantly, how they manage to live in such narrow areas and conditions in the big city.

    Leaside and its Aerodrome

recent WW2 shell found in the Leaside area. Could the Aerodrome being so close had anything to do with it? http://www.bayview-news.com/2016/10/bomb-squad-at-leaside-fire-hall-after-mortar-shell-found.html/

wow nice! Nice shooting and shopping skills! always a nice combo. Yes I was a little peed at tagging "artwork" especially after reading this story today: https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2016/10/02/toronto-sign-vandalized-overnight.html Good job in any case!

I was sort of hoping the your vandalism is photoshopped in.. I am guessing it's not. Even if it was, it's glorifying vandalism. Nothing artistic about spray painting your nickname onto public areas.

Ignoring a user also ignores the quoted text from another user's reply to him? Because I quoted him directly in my reply. That is why I figured you didn't realize I was not replying to you (or anyone other than ksun) from your 'umm what?' response. But thanks for your clarification.
