Toronto Toronto | Ontario Place: West Island / Therme Spa | 45.15m | 9s | Therme Group | Diamond Schmitt

I actually went through their websites, PR releases, and went through all of their orgs. And proceeded to read German news sites - so maybe not diligent enough (also actually at work)? I will and do apologize if I make a mistake in any of my understanding as some of the more senior members have...

Toronto Toronto | Ontario Place: West Island / Therme Spa | 45.15m | 9s | Therme Group | Diamond Schmitt

I am no fan of Ford's gov but let's not bundle too many things into the umbrella of subsidy here. My understanding to the Ontario Place is that while WT could develop Ontario Place but the timeline will stretch pretty long - they just recently secure funding for Quayside and Villiers (without...

Toronto Toronto | Ontario Place: West Island / Therme Spa | 45.15m | 9s | Therme Group | Diamond Schmitt

I just went through a rabbit hole trying to figure out Therme and Wund Holdings, there are way too many subsidiaries for seven properties - and I stop cuz my day job is much more important. But yea, when it is this convoluted to understanding the structure, it is not giving me the confidence :/...

Frankfurt is the one Wund Holdings and Therme collaborated on, and Munich is the one that Wund Holding Built and acquired by Therme last year. I felt like the acquisition has more to do with legality.

Not sure about Therme finance, but because the article is interesting, I started fact-checking a bit. Maybe Therme did exaggerate their portfolio, but the article also did some selective reporting. Therme has 7 projects, 3 completed and 4 ongoing. Out of the 3 completed ones, Therme built one...

    Toronto Toronto | Pinnacle One Yonge | 351.85m | 106s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

The One tops out at 308m, and it is basically the whole crown, with the pendulum... If the mechanical floor is any indication, that crown will take a while. We will see, but the speed that SkyTower is going feels like they are racing the One.

    Toronto Toronto | Pinnacle One Yonge | 351.85m | 106s | Pinnacle | Hariri Pontarini

It is around 230m now I am guessing? I swear when we moved into our new office at Scotiabank Plaza last October, Sky Tower was around 70 - 90m? It raised over 100m within 6 months - through the winter season! I swear it will go over 300 m by the end of this summer. Crazy thing is... the One is...

    Toronto Toronto | 60 Yonge Street | 246.2m | 65s | KingSett Capital | AS + GG

Chelsea Green is not really a KingSett's properties tho... prolly less likely to be a vaporware.

Unfortunate. When you said the plan suck pretty intensely, are you saying the current iteration? Or you saying the whole design sucks. I kinda like it... that thing is the piece that will fully flesh out Yorkville IMO :/

I know it is an naive dream, but I have been hoping for Cumberland Square to actually materialize one day :(

Really think the current arrangement with the CIBC Squares at the back looks perfect. Another tower in the front will just block the composition.

Toronto Toronto | The Bentway (was Under Gardiner) | ?m | ?s | Waterfront Toronto

About Dan Lackie way, I thought Concord was planning to build a outdoor shopping area around there called UnderConcord... Is that still happening or is it a vaporware? I always imagine it kinda a quasi-Bentway project.

    Toronto Toronto | Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman

That's fair, but a bigger place IMO is not too big an issue. They will just have to adjust down the price per size relative to the retail space around the area. The market will do its thing, and it will be at the cost of poor planning..

    Toronto Toronto | Time and Space Condos | 101.8m | 29s | Pemberton | Wallman

That is an awkward area to set up retail. It is still being developed in all direction except the West. I think once all of the construction is done to connect Old Town to Distillery, the Front St facing part will definitely see some action. Also, this is not a good time to start a business at...

    Toronto Toronto | Mirvish Village (Honest Ed's Redevelopment) | 85.04m | 26s | Westbank | Henriquez Partners

Is it really stalling? A lot of projects take a long time to actually complete even tho the buildings themselves are mostly done. A lot of projects take another year or two to fully complete after they top out.
