There’s an office building (Remington) across Metis Trail from MKWW train station that has been stalled for many years (12 years?) - with just the elevator cores built.
Today it had two giant “For Lease” banners hung up on the elevator cores.
perhaps Remington is finally intending to finish it?
Yes, that tunnel would be still required and will be used regularly (multiple times daily), to transfer trains between lines.
Different types of maintenance happen at different maintenance facilities, and the storage in the NE can handle more trains than what is required solely for the Blue...
Those are the correct renderings, yes.
It’s not typical suburban construction at all: all concrete and steel structure, high quality metal exterior finish, curtainwall system glazing, etc.
I’ll climb up at some point, but that picture wasn’t taken by me.
And if you think it looks long and narrow - only about 2/3 of the length of the building is in that photo.
