The cornice and brickwork on this building at Dovercourt were recently just refurbished, the embedded night lighting is a really nice touch, a bit of whimsy!

Appreciate the post, but this is the rare case, I'm not sold on this architectural lighting. Very inconsistent w/historically normative choices.

If this were to be lit, I think I'd prefer more subtle up lighting myself.

I would maybe argue from a historically accuracy lens that buildings often used similar lighting during the holiday seasons so it's not totally out of context, though you are right that it was not really used as an all year permanent thing.

I think this is Rusholme or an adjacent side street, a bit north of College during the autumn

This garage is being converted into a kitchen/café with a large patio in front of it. Taken 11 March.

So the old garage just north of Da Vina’s on the northeast corner of College and Bathurst is being converted. I think that the forecourt is going to be a big patio. Taken 10 May.

Pretty sure it's EFIS, but the detailing looks alright to me, way nicer than a flat cube.

Also the unit next door now houses an outpost of a popular Colombian restaurant/cafe from Eglinton/Dufferin, after being vacant for a while, retail here is filling in nice.

Ohh that's been moving pretty slowly.

I have a feeling is would've been brick at one point, but the labour shortages are stalling a lot of small scale projects.
