Good news:
The 100 Ave bike lane extension west of 109 St is part of the Active Transportation Network plan.

Bad news:
They're proposing one way bike lanes on 100 Ave west of 109 St. Wouldn't it make far more sense to extend the 2 bike lanes west of 109 St?

Bad news. The 100 Ave section between 109 to 116st is not part of the Wihkwentowin neighbourhood renewal 'construction'.

Out of that list you shared, it's the only one not being funded through this renewal. The city now says it is not in scope for the neighbourhood renewal because it's an arterial road even though in attending previous meetings on this that was never said. Everyone I've talked to who attended previous sessions on this renewal thought it was going to be part of the actual construction planned.

Heck, even city website says it's in scope - I guess they better update it.

Next year will be ten years since the bike lanes on 100 ave going east of 109 were installed and the City is still kicking the 110-116 can down the road with no clear timeline. I get why though like @thommyjo mentioned above, I don't see any feasible way to implement without removing a substantial number of boulevard trees, particularly between 112-115, which sucks since they're easily one of the best parts of that segment.

I believe 100ave was mentioned in the provincial stupidity anti bike lane crap. I wonder if that’s part of this? Trying to not get the project to trigger the province to retaliate?

All of 100 ave needs to be redone as well imo. I wonder if that’s part of this? Maybe a larger road/sidewalk/bike lane renewal will come in 3 years?

Crazy missing link though. Needs a temporary summer solution.

Temporary summer solution = temporary MUP on 100 Ave west of 109 St, just like the ones on Victoria Park Rd and Sask Dr.
