Having lived in both cities (and loved both), I've always thought Edmonton and Quebec City should cooperate and share information far more than they do.
100%, I'd argue we should somehow move into a sister city relationship.
That reminds me of how, in the mid-1970s, some ETS staffers went on a tour of various German light rail systems to learn from them.
For all the roasting we get, we do have a robust LRT system, we truly just need to expand it and increase density around the lines, on top of creating more bus feeder networks.

In this situation, probably benefits Quebec City more than us, as we are somewhat larger so are probably already dealing with things they will have to in the next decade or so, but places can learn from each other.

Agreed, I just like it when municipalities let their staff go on learning trips like these!

It's hard to justify with the current budget situation tho.

Doesn't help that there was a certain police trip taken recently that attracted a lot of eyeballs...

Some on-street parking and/or loading zones may be impacted as a result of transit priority implementation. Impacted properties will be notified about the proposed changes. As we get closer to implementation, more information on the upcoming measures will be shared.

Temporary traffic flow impacts are anticipated due to construction; however access to properties and businesses during construction will be maintained. Construction detours for transit passengers, pedestrians, and other road users will be determined as design advances. Adjacent properties and businesses will receive more information before construction starts.

Timelines and designs are subject to change.

What would be great if ETS had bus stops near the Valley Line on 101 St. The northbound and southbound stops outside of Edmonton Centre disappeared years ago. There is a southbound stops south of 102A Ave which isn't bad, but the closest northbound stop is on the far side of Jasper Ave.
The stupid thing was a bus stop was added on the nearside of 102 Ave which did make for a perfect place to transfer to the Valley Line until it was removed a month or so ago. The space was turned over to parking.

Are you talking about the space beside the old BMO/Tegler site? That one was temporary unfortunately; I think the Rice Howard Building reno is what got the actual stop temporarily closed.

Every 7/8 minutes for Route 916? (Lewis Farms to West Ed)

That’s pretty wild if true. Do we know ridership on that route?

Suggests ridership in VLW will be solid if there are already so many people using transit in West Edmonton

Southeast Transit Garage project update coming to the Infrastructure Committee on April 8. They're switching to a phased approach (similar to the Llew Lawrence OMF), with the first phase having a targeted capacity of 255-290 40-foot equivalents (the ultimate build-out will have a capacity of 430).

Some of the span of service reductions, first/last trip cancellations, and route cancellations are alarming.
