Yes but the difference is that shag carpet was actually considered stylish back then. Green spandrel went out of style a decade ago, but yet we still use it.

I sure hope that spandrel doesn't take away from the overall final look. There are so many other colors they could have used.

Looks like it will be lit with accent lighting. I don't know why you would need wiring going into the canopy roof.

Toronto Is the 4th largest city in NA, and the only city with residents who still care about shadow impacts. Lol

The cities job is to improve transit, unfortunately, this area isn't at the top of their priority. It is most likely money that is stoping them from improving transit here, and until they get the funds, they can't have massive amounts of people moving to areas that transit systems can't service...

^^ Not sure about L tower, but I believe I heard that the Delta was going to be lit up.

Or they should have just put more effort into the rectangular portion instead.

Roof is lookin' pretty sharp. Does anyone know what exactly the roof is going to be used for anyway? I'm assuming a garden or some sort of outdoor space for residents.

^good point. A lot of this has to do with public transportation. There are already a lot of people moving into this area and not enough public transportation to support them and get them to downtown. Imagine an extra combined 111 stories worth of commuters living here, plus the existing...

Last time I was there, the site was cleared but no excavation. If I'm there soon I'll try to take some pics.

I was gonna ask that one too. I'd imagine that they would have to put one there with all the wiring still there, and the custom notch. It's not like a video board would be unusual for the area.

Here's a quick question: will there be any architectural lighting? And if so will it actually be used?

Cool shots Empty_quarter! Really captures just how tall the towers of the financial district are.

    Toronto Toronto | 1 Yorkville | 183.18m | 58s | Bazis | Rosario Varacalli

This looks amazing! It's still box shaped but at least our condos' facade materials are evolving a bit. I think they should just scrap the balconies and it would look almost perfect.

Too bad the godawful front is the most prominent part of this building.

Infinity reminds me of the copy and paste type of towers you get in Simcity, especially when two of the same buildings pop up right next to each other in the same configuration. God I hate that!
